CSP Clinical Skills Workshop: Phlebotomy Skills Lab

This one-day, hands-on workshop is designed for previous students who want additional practice and confidence performing phlebotomy procedures. The Phlebotomy Skills Lab provides focused, supervised skills practice in a lab setting, allowing participants to refine their technique and build proficiency with common blood collection methods. This workshop is skills-based only and is intended to strengthen hands-on ability through repetition and instructor feedback. Skills Practiced in this Workshop:

• Venipuncture using straight needles
• Venipuncture using butterfly needles and syringes
• Proper vein selection and palpation
• Capillary (fingerstick) collections
• Phlebotomy technique refinement and confidence building

CSP Clinical Workshop: Phlebotomy Skills Lab Admissions Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• Graduate of CSP's Phlebotomy, Accelerated Phlebotomy, or Clinical Medical Assisting

CSP Clinical Skills Workshop: Vitals Skills Lab

This one-day, hands-on workshop is designed for previous students of our program who want additional practice and confidence performing essential patient vital sign measurements. The Vitals Skills Lab provides focused, supervised skills practice in a lab setting, allowing participants to refine technique, improve accuracy, and build consistency with core clinical measurements.

Skills Practiced in this Workshop:

• Manual blood pressure measurement
• Pulse assessment
• Accurate height and weight measurement
• Chest and waist circumference measurements
• Proper patient positioning and measurement technique

• 18 years of age or older
• Graduate of CSP's Phlebotomy, Accelerated Phlebotomy, or Clinical Medical Assisting

CSP Clinical Skills Workshop: EKG Skills Lab

This one-day, hands-on workshop is designed for previous students of our program who want additional practice and confidence performing electrocardiogram (EKG) procedures. The EKG Skills Lab provides focused, supervised skills practice in a lab setting, allowing participants to strengthen both technical execution and foundational rhythm recognition skills. Skills Practiced in this Workshop:

• 12-lead EKG administration
• Proper lead placement and patient preparation
• Equipment setup and operation
• Identification of common EKG tracings
• Basic interpretation of EKG results

CSP Clinical Workshop: EKG Skills Lab Admissions Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older
• Graduate of CSP's EKG, or Clinical Medical Assisting

CSP Clinical Skills Workshop: Injections Skills Lab

This one-day, hands-on workshop is designed for previous students of our program who want additional practice and confidence performing medication administration via injection. The Injections Skills Lab provides focused, supervised skills practice in a lab setting, allowing participants to refine technique, improve accuracy, and build confidence with commonly used injection routes.

Skills Practiced in this Workshop:

• Intramuscular (IM) injections
• Subcutaneous (SQ) injections
• Intradermal (ID) injections
• Proper landmarking and injection site selection
